Skating in LA

Oh my gosh. It is 80 degrees in Los Angeles. We went ice skating outside on Christmas Eve and the only reason Els has a sweater on, is because I forgot to bring sunscreen. Makes me feel bad for my parents back East, who had no power for two days and slept under a pile of down blankets in the freezing cold.

The Rink: Downtown Burbank

The sun was SO bright. Here we are at The Rink in Downtown Burbank.

This is such a cute place to bring your little ones. The rink is only open from November 22nd to January 5th. It is a MUST GO if you have kids Els’ age. The rink is small enough not to feel overwhelming, and the seals are so great for holding on to or sitting on while daddy pushes.

Here she is with her little skates. They are size adjustable and fit right over her shoes. I honestly fell in love with this place. And afterwards, you can take a stroll through downtown Burbank where there are tons of cute shops and restaurants.

Water break. But still not letting go of her seal. Skating outside in sunny LA. Is this for real?? We will probably go back again, one more time before the season ends.
