DIY Kids Sushi Plate: Vegetarian
Sushi doesn’t have to be daunting. All you need is a little rice and seaweed, which we always have on hand. And veggies of your choice. It doesn’t have to be fancy either. I do like to make real sushi rolls, but sometimes this DIY kids sushi plate will suffice. Plus, it’s cute. Cutting food into shapes makes all the difference to a kid. My kid anyway. She loves it. What’s not to like, right?! Toddler-approved. Kid-approved. And grown-up approved. Yup, my husband eats this too.

Today, I went all vegetarian. I just chopped up some avocado, cucumber and seaweed. The rice I used a rice mold which you can find here. I also chopped up some mango for dessert. The fruit and veggie cutters you can find here.
And the rest is up to Els. She likes to wrap up the rice and avocado in the seaweed wraps, and munch on the cucumbers at the same time. The mangos she saves for last.
